About Us
A brief history of Delirium
It all started with a dream and a young graffiti artist growing up in the streets of Athens in the 90s. At a time that graffiti art was viewed as a crime by society and thought of as a lower form of art by the art galleries and curators of the world. Feeling isolated and cut-off he wanted to experience the art world from the inside and made the big decision to move to London.
Fast forward 20 years, the same artist feels like there’s something missing back home. Having accumulated tons of experience from working both as an exhibiting artist with galleries from America to Japan and curating art shows in London from 2008 onwards, he wanted to bring his knowledge and expertise to his home town of Athens.
Rejoining his peers of the past and new friends, he set out to establish a new home for the contemporary urban art scene in the heart of Athens. An art gallery that will have a strong physical and online presence, as well as attract art lovers and collector’s from all over the world.
So in December of 2021 Delirium Athens gallery open its doors.
